Following a new addition through our association with Aberlink Innovative Metrology, DJJ have introduced the new ‘Axiom Too’ CNC CMM Co-ordinate measuring machine, to our inspection line.
The high precision nature of the ‘Axiom Too’ enables us to undertake the most accurate and complex of measuring routines, whilst its speed has eliminated the possibility of potential inspection and production hold ups. The new equipment comes with a high speed dedicated control and revolutionary 3D geometric measurement system, allowing the software to draw features as they are measured, and then to process those features exactly as they appear on customer’s drawings.
Amongst the many exceptional features, Axiom Too’s large component support, means that we can now load multiple components and measure them fully in automatic CNC mode. For fast accurate measurement of low profile 2D parts, and smaller delicate components, we included Aberlinks high resolution camera system, enabling non-contact inspection techniques to be undertaken, further ensuring more sensitive production is not compromised.
The ‘Axiom Too’ is designed to keep up with the fastest of machine tools. In fact – enough to allow direct integration with our production line, providing high drive and measuring speed, whilst still allowing the measurement of a massive variation of machined components – and with a high degree of repeatability.
DJJ’s investment in such advanced, inspection, equipment, means we now provide a speedier and more accurate production service, with the ability to generate in-depth CMM inspection reports, and excellent production cost reductions, and its inclusion in our inspection processes has been welcomed by our customers.
